Sounding Out! is a project designed to provide music opportunities for those aged 13-18 living in the north-west of North Tyneside. Sessions run after school on Wednesdays throughout term-time and during the school holidays, shaped around the musical skills young people would like to develop. Sounding Out! is a project funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the North East Combined Authority as lead partner, in partnership with North Tyneside Music Education Hub. For more information about how to get involved, email group leader Ashleigh Lowes at ashleigh.lowes@youngsounds.org.uk or complete the form here and we will be in touch.

Sounding Out Songwriting Summer Camp

Sounding Out! is also offering a daytime Songwriting Summer Camp for young people aged 13-18 at the Cluny, Newcastle upon-Tyne on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th August, ending with a performance for friends and family. This event is free of charge to all taking part, including lunch and refreshments.

Maybe you’ve always wanted to write your own songs, or already do. Either way, join us for two days with Marty Longstaff of The Lake Poets to learn more. To register interest, just let us know here or email our partners North Tyneside Music Education Hub at ntmeh.music@ntlp.org.uk for further information.
